Inspection Body

McPherson Limited have been appointed as an Inspection Body for both old and new tanks under the new regulations for the Carriage Of Dangerous Goods And Use Of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2007.

Fleet Engineering Director Ian Jamieson says the appointment was crucial to the business due to the far north location. It avoids the need for companies such as Lloyds and Bureau Veritas visiting McPherson service providers to witness the pressure test procedures.

The approval is for alcoholic beverages, placarded 3065 or 1170 on the hazard plates. Ian says that the appointment cements McPherson's commitment to the whisky and bulk spirits industry to offer a one stop shop for all types of trailer and vessel repairs. The pressure test service is also available to other hauliers who use the same hazardous identification numbers. For further information contact Ian.
