Iain Macleod
Iain joined us in January 1991 as a management trainee and is still here!
He has the unenviable task of running the fulcrum of our operations, the Traffic Department in Aberlour. He has a staff of 7 highly professional and dedicated staff who manage the delivery schedules of our fleet and ensure that customer needs are met, whatever the circumstances.
After studying engineering at college in Aberdeen he spent a number of years in the plant engineering and the oil services sectors, before undertaking a year of heavy goods driving.
He joined McPherson as part of a management trainee scheme in 1990 and has undertaken a wide range of roles within operations, enabling him to master the complexities, pitfalls and challenges inherent in traffic management.
Iain’s knowledge of our market, the vagaries of customer sites and the ability to anticipate customer needs is a key contributor to the McPherson success story.
As well as holding both current PSV and HGV licences, Iain is also a CPC holder and Dangerous Goods Advisor.
