Shaun Harkness
Shaun is McPherson’s risk manager and auditor and is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the company’s Health and Safety policy are strictly adhered to on behalf of the Managing Director. The role has a remit for quality assurance and environmental compliance, as well as the day-to-day safety, health and welfare of the workforce. The position brings with it, its very own unique challenges.
Early in his career Shaun attended Military College and trained as Geospatial Engineer and Photographic Surveyor. Having served all over the world he has extensive knowledge and experience in strategic leadership & management and engineering logistics, for which he holds level 7 diplomas in each.
Shaun is a DSA qualified motorcycle instructor and an International CPC holder. A competent and enthusiastic trainer; he is also one of our Department of Transport accredited ADR instructors. He regularly teaches at our training centre in Elgin and gives risk awareness lectures up and down the country to both managers and drivers alike.
