Both Driver and Manager Levels
We offer in class room training courses for both analogue and digital tachographs, which can be attached to drivers hours training and included as part of the drivers CPC requirements, if required. The more common digital tachograph systems are Seimens and Stoneridge and we offer interactive training on both products utilising simulator systems.
The digital tachograph was introduced to cut down on illegal use of tachographs, both by drivers and operators and also make controlling drivers hours easier.
The Driver Level course focuses on how to use the tachograph properly and covers the rules and regulations that are the driver’s responsibility. There is both classroom and hands on instruction and a certificate of successful completion is given to each registrant.
The Manager Level, includes the Driver Level Course, and in addition, focuses on the use of the Company Smart Card. The ‘Company Card’ is used as a valuable management tool in gathering information for analysis, review of infringements and necessity of remedial action for the driver.
All courses review the VOSA requirements, some of which are listed below:
- Charts and records
- Centerfield entries
- Manual entries

- Lost, stolen or malfunctioning driver cards
- UTC – the time set on a digital tachograph
